Leo Burnett Group hires Eswari Kalugasalam Lawson as PR director for Arc Worldwide

Leo Burnett Group Malaysia has appointed Eswari Kalugasalam Lawson as public relations director for Arc Worldwide. In her new role Lawson has been tasked with leading the public relations division of Leo Burnett.

Speaking about the appointment, Tan Kien Eng, CEO, Leo Burnett Group Malaysia said,” Eswari brings extensive experience in public relations and communications, and keen understanding of the business and challenges from the agency as well as client’s point of views, having worked on both sides.”

He continued,” Over the last few years, our PR division has grown from strength to strength, winning multiple local and regional awards. Eswari’s key priorities are to continue to drive this successful momentum further and take the agency to the next level while working ever more closely with the Leo Burnett Group as part of an integrated communications company.”

Lawson (pictured above) has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications and business development in profit and not for profit organizations; as well as providing consultancy services to MNC and Fortune 50 clients.

Starting her career as a journalist, Lawson also held corporate communications roles, in various capacities, in Titan Chemicals, Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute, World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation and The ICLIF Leadership and Governance Centre. As practice lead for corporate and finance, Lawson has also advised local and international C-suite business leaders on strategic corporate positioning. Prior to joining Arc Worldwide, she also served as Vice President in FleishmanHillard Malaysia and as Managing Consultant in ShekhinahPR.

Her wide-ranging span of experience includes media/investor/ government/employee relations and event management in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, India and Kuwait among others.
