Eight entries from Asia make the cut at shortlist stage of APAC Tambuli Awards; winners revealed tonight

The Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards have announced 11 finalists from 82 entries in the creative category of the Awards. The winners will be honoured at the awards night ceremony tonight, June 4, at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangri-La at the Fort Hotel in Manila.

 

Asia has scored eight finalists including TBWA\HAKUHODO Japan with two shortlists for Japan Para Table Tennis Association “The Most Challenging Pingpong Table” and AIG Japan “Pride Jersey”.

The Philippines has scored three finalists including Ace Saatchi and Saatchi for Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines “Project Unfriend”, GIGIL for Levi’s Strauss Philippines “Studs” and BBDO Guerrero for Johnson & Johnson “Playstreet”.

Reprise Malaysia has scored its finalist for QSR Srores Sdn. Nhd. “The Other Sanders”. Cheil Worldwide India has been shortlisted for Samsung Electronics ‘Bixby Voice Forever’ and Leo Burnett Sri Lanka/Leo Burnett Toronto have scored one finalist for JAT Holdings “Petal Paint”.

The Creative Jury (pictured below) is lead by Josy Paul Chairman and CCO at BBDO India and includes Chee Keong “CK” Tan, ex-Amber China; Joey Tiempo, Octopus&Whale Philippines; Kazoo Sato, TBWA\Hakuhodo Japan; Raoul Panes, Leo Burnett Manila; Eric Cruz, AKQA Shanghai; Jay Morgan, The Monkeys Sydney; Rajay Singh, Directors Think Tank; Mike Sicam, Ogilvy Philippines; and Phil Van Bruchem, BWM Melbourne.

A conference on the theme Value of Creativity and Value of Brands will also be held today, also at the Shangri-La at the Fort.

The 2019 shortlists for the Media & Digital and Humanity & Culture categories were announced earlier this year and winners will also be honoured tonight.
