TBWA Hakuhodo Tokyo take home Gold and Silver in Cannes Design Lions: Innocean Korea awarded Gold with Bronze to BBDO Pakistan, Dentsu Tokyo + BBDO Bangkok

TBWA\Hakuhodo Tokyo has scored Asia’s only Gold Lion in the Design Lions category at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity.

The Design Lions saw 47 Lions handed out with Asia taking home 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 5 Bronze Lions.

TBWA\Hakuhodo Tokyo’s Gold is for “The Most Challenging Ping Pong Table” for the Japan Para Table Tennis Association. Their “Restaurant of Mistaken Orders” for Daiki Nursing Care was also awarded a Silver Lion.

Innocean Worldwide in Korea also scored a Silver Lion with “The Quiet Taxi” for Hyundai Sonata LF Taxi.

BBDO Pakistan won two Bronze Lions – for Berger Paints “Truck Art Childfinder” and UN Women’s anti-child marriages “The Bridal Uniform”.

Dentsu Tokyo also picked up two Bronze awards for their East Japan Railway Company “Get Back, Tohoku” and the Dentsu Advertising Awards “Aspiration & Perspiration”.

BBDO Bangkok won Bronze for HomePro “7:1 Furniture Collection”.

1,469 entries from 65 countries were entered into the Design Lions, with 47 Lions awarded: 1 Grand Prix, 6 Gold, 16 Silver and 24 Bronze Lions.

Google Creative Lab, New York, won the Grand Prix for Google’s ‘Creatability’, which explores how creative tools – drawing, music, and more – can be made more accessible using web and AI technology.
