ROB SHERLOCK TO CHAIR INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD FOR RUMBLETOWN GROUP OF AGENCIES

Global advertising and creative leader Rob Sherlock will chair an international advisory board for the Rumbletown group of agencies. With typical, self-effacing charm, the first words uttered by Sherlock upon accepting the role were, “Thanks for ruining my retirement!”

Sherlock’s illustrious career includes regional and global leadership of FCB, based out of NZ, Asia and Chicago, respectively. He moved from CCO of Japanese powerhouse ADK to become Global CEO and Chairman and remains Executive Advisor, based out of Singapore.

Says Rumbletown co-founder Remy Brassac: “The role of the board is to advise on global trends, emerging platforms and commercialisation to create greater value for clients and ourselves. Rob has been an amazing mentor and a generous friend to the agency. It was time to acknowledge his guidance and perspective in an official capacity.”

Brassac, together with creative partners James Burchill and Nancy Hartley, founded strategic creative agency Rumble in 2014. They then formed mercurial digital agency Romeo, and SME specialist agency Edison, before partnering with PR wundkerkinds Adam Brunes and Donna Kramer to create Aruga PR (B&T’s 2019 PR Agency of the Year). In 2018 they partnered with leading industry figure Shelley Cook to create Scout Frontier media.

Says Sherlock: “I’m both honoured and excited to be joining the incredible Rumbletown team on their journey – there’s never been a better time for smart, agile and passionate people to create the new way forward”.

Further appointments to the board will be announced shortly.
