STEFAN SAGMEISTER HEADLINES JURY FOR KIDLAT AWARDS IN THE PHILIPPINES

The Creative Guild of The Philippines will be celebrating the 25th Ad of the Year awards this week from March 5th-7th. The Kidlat Festival is the longest-running, most celebrated advertising creative competition in the country. In recognition of today’s dynamic communications landscape the awards will feature the best of old and new.  From the 24 past presidents of the organization to the latest developments in media planning, interactive and design. And from the hottest new talent in the industry competing to represent the country in Cannes and Asia-Pacific AdFest to global superstars like Stefan Sagmeister (pictured left from Sagmeister Inc New York), John Merrifield (TBWA Asia) and Jureeporn Thaidumrong (JEH United Bangkok) as international judges. Due to an accident affecting a key member of his team, David Droga will not be able to attend the Kidlat Awards, as originally planned.

Building on last year’s success, The Creative Guild are hosting the event for the 70 member agencies of the 4As at the Regency Hotel in Boracay. Confirmed participants include: BBDO Guerrero, DM9 Jayme Syfu, Jimenez Basic, JWT, Lowe, McCann, Ogilvy, PC&V, TBWA SMP and Y&R.

“In all, we anticipate in excess of 200 delegates for the 3 day event, which will feature inspirational talks, a chance to see the best work of the year in 19 categories and countless networking opportunities,” said organiser David Guerrero.
