Gausis succeeds Andy Soong who has decided to leave the agency on 15 January to pursue other career interests. Andy Soong’s departure comes after 5 successful years with the agency winning both local and international awards including a Bronze Lions at Cannes this year, Clio, One Show and Adfest.

Gausis has worked for some of the world’s leading agencies over the past 25 years across seven countries including long stints at AMV, BMP, Leagas Delaney and Chiat/Day. He has worked on many global campaigns for clients such as The Economist, Sainsbury’s, Barclays and Audi and awards include two D&AD pencils.

The agency re-structure aims to build a new, innovative approach to the fast changing advertising, digital and retail environments: “We have huge ambitions for the Malaysian agency. We are seeking to build a new model where we have specific discipline leads, working in partnership across each of our core business unit. We have labelled it The New Publicis,” said agency CEO Dean Bramham.

“The agency owes so much to Andy’s efforts; he has helped drive our product and creative ranking to an all-time high. He will be missed by the agency and we wish him all the very best for the future,” Bramham said.

“Contagious ideas that change the conversation is the Publicis global promise. To do this we need specialists working together; seamless, collaborative and focused. The new structure promises to deliver an exciting new creative potential for the agency”, concluded Bramham.
