Getty Images launches new App for iPad
Getty Images is launching its iPad app, which is available now as a free download from Apple’s App store.
Thenew app is all about maximising creativity as it lets you searchimages, save to a lightbox and share over 24 million images. As wellthe same search capabilities as the Getty Images website, users canshake the iPad to see random search results; compare up to four imagesside by side; scroll through thousands of images in seconds; and addvoice recordings to lightboxes and play full screen slideshows oflightbox contents.
Getty Images is also announcing, in conjunction with Flickr,that a year after launching The Flickr Collection on Getty Images there are nowover 100,000 images available for licensing. For people seeking to license aphoto that’s not currently part of the Flickr collection, Getty Images has alsointroduced “Request to License” – a new service which provides customers with aprocess to legally license and use the fresh imagery created by Flickr’sdiverse and prolific community.
