Ogilvy & Mather promotes Punnee Chaiyakul to the role of Group Chairman, Ogilvy Thailand

Punnee  Chaiyakul 2010.jpgKhun Punnee Chaiyakul is to take up the role of Chairman,  Ogilvy & Mather Thailand effective January 1, 2011. Prior to this position, Punnee was Vice Chairman and Head of  Advertising, and she will continue as Head of Advertising concurrently with her new responsibilities. Punnee will take over the reins from Alan Couldrey who has been Chairman since 2007 and who has, since 2009, combined this role with being CEO for The Brand  Union in Asia Pacific. Couldrey will divide his time between Bangkok, Hong Kong and the rest of the region.

Punnee joined Ogilvy & Mather in Thailand in 1985 and became managing director  for  Advertising in 2002, and Vice Chairman for the group shortly after. “I am delighted to take on this challenge and delighted to have a talented team with which to make the most of the opportunities in Thailand”, she said.
