Creative Juice Bangkok also won the ‘Best of Press’ award for its 3M ‘Cushion Wrap’ press/poster campaign as well as the ‘Best of Graphic Design’ award for the ‘Assemble Name Card’ for Siam Tamiya’s model kit shops. 3M also was also named Advertiser of the Year. Creative Juice tallied 22 Adman Awards in total: two ‘Best of Best’, six Gold, seven Silver and seven Bronze awards. This translated into 118 points overall – 54 points ahead of the competition.

The Adman Awards night was held inside Central World, one of Southeast Asia’s largest shopping malls, which was destroyed by fire earlier this year during the Red Shirt protests in Bangkok. The chaos came to a climax near Rachaprasong Junction in Bangkok, about 500 meters away from Creative Juice’s headquarters, forcing the agency to move offices for a period of time to ensure the safety of their employees.

“The Red Shirts and unstable political situation in Thailand affected Creative Juice a great deal this past year,” commented Chief Creative Officer Thirasak Tanapatanakul (pictured above). “It was the most difficult time we’ve experienced since we established in Bangkok. We were lucky enough that we could lead our team out of crisis and turn it into opportunities. We’re extremely proud to win Agency of the Year at Adman 2010.”

Tanapatanakul said that this year, the Thai advertising industry was introduced to a very open brief for entering the awards: how to make Thai people love each other again. The theme was ‘Grand Prix for the Nation.’ In Thai, ‘Prix’ means, “to die for.” The idea was to encourage the advertising industry to have a hand in helping the country recover from the political turbulence.

“This year, Thailand and the advertising industry were impacted by the political crisis. But we cannot allow this fierce environment be an obstacle to creating great work,” added Creative Juice’s Chief of Media Arts Consulting, Witawat Jayapani. “We still encourage and accelerate our people to work as hard as they can in order to be unbeatable. They have proved that they truly are the best talents in this country.”

Creative Juice Bangkok enjoyed a period of great success, proving that success can be achieved even in times of turmoil. Earlier this year, the agency won a Gold award and three Silver awards at the Spikes Asia Advertising Festival. At the Asia Pacific AdFest, Creative Juice Bangkok took home 13 awards in total, including the ‘Best of Show’ poster and two Gold awards. At the 2010 Cannes Lions Festival, Creative Juice was the most awarded agency in Thailand, winning the only Gold for the country, along with a Bronze and two Silver Lions.
