TSLA LOGO.jpgSingapore-based independent hot-shop TSLA has opened a pop-up office in Hong Kong to service its growing client base. TSLA has been active in the Hong Kong market since 2005, working with brands such as the BBC, Fox Networks and Transitions Optical. The agency has appointed Kris Kam as general manager of its Hong Kong operation and he will be supported by a full copy, art and digital team.

Nicholas Ye, chief creative officer and co-founder of TSLA, said the creative outfit has opened what he describes as a “pop-up” agency, which challenges the conventional agency model.

“It is a marriage of our nimbleness and our commitment to our client’s business directions,” Ye said.

“We all know that the traditional agency models are broken. So we are doing, quite simply what feels genuinely right for our clients and their needs without having them bear the brunt of a tedious, often bulky and expensive setup. TSLA has always worked on a model of open-architecture and collaboration with regards to resource management.”

Ye said TSLA is foreseeing a distinct demand from several of the businesses that it is developing in the region to be in Hong Kong and Greater China.

TSLA was founded in Singapore in 2004 and its clients include SingTel, LaSalle, Singapore Press Holdings, Shell and PayPal.
