Bajjar.jpgBhavik Gajjar has joined Scarecrow Mumbai as Creative Director. Gajjar returns to India after a decade working abroad in Canada, most recently at JWT Toronto. He has also worked at creative hotshop Taxi Toronto as well as Leo Burnett and Cossette.

“My first lesson was a crash course in Canadian winter,” said Gajjar (left). “I quickly learned that the best way to survive is to spend time indoors. I worked on an interesting mix of accounts during this time, including McDonalds, Nestle, Kraft, Walmart, Yellow Pages, TELUS Telecommunications and Salvation Army.”

He has picked up award recognition from Cannes, One Show, The Bessies, YoungGuns, Applied Arts and The New York Festivals.

“But, despite the success I enjoyed in Canada, home was calling. And as it turned out, so were two nice chaps named Manish and Raghu and their Agency, Scarecrow. Everything about them as individuals and as ad people aligned with my core beliefs about our business. Realizing this was an opportunity too good to pass up, I decided to pack my bags for the second time and come home–to Mumbai,” said Bajjar.
