TBWA Hunt Lascaris Johannesburg launch push to give a voice to the voiceless in Zimbabwe
March 10 2011, 8:23 am | | 8 Comments
An empty speech mark in the shape of the map of Zimbabwe has been added to these images to highlight the lack of voice the people of Zimbabwe have. The posters were erected all over South Africa. The posters show images captured by photojournalists over the past two years and direct viewers to the newspaper’s website.
The Zimbabwean newspaper is published in South Africa and the UK by a network of journalists exiled from Zimbabwe for refusing to write propaganda. This TBWA Hunt Lascaris campaign is a follow up to the highly awarded Trillion Dollar campaign.

Thank you TBWA! Great initiative.
Nice sentiment. But how is this helping anyone?
Totally unimaginative creative execution.
Come on. Nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned outdoor campaign.
It’s better than any outdoor out of here. I like it.
Really very powerful campaign.
Yes, very powerful.
7.31 where do you work? in the finance dept or just in the industry too long?
Ah the Speech Bubble… That ol’ chestnut…
I think any campaign that attempts to do good should not be ridiculed. Having said that the zimbabwean devalued currency set the bar so high that it would take something remarkable to beat it. Please continue what you’re doing TBWA HL. At least you are sincere about your causes.
Creatives in Asia just do such ads just for awards, money and their careers.
