It also serves as a platform for both Chinese and non-Chinese marketing and communication practitioners who are interested in the creative trench and insights of the ever growing Chinese market, the second largest economy of the world, to exchange ideas.” said Tomaz Mok, one of the four founders of the LongXi Awards.

“Top speakers from the west as well as the east will be invited to our festival in Macau to share their wisdom and insights to anticipated delegates of 500.  They will consist of agency creative, planning, account management people, production and creative service people, marketers and academics within and beyond Greater China region.”  Explained Jimmy Lam who is also President of Asia Pacific ADFEST.   “We are planning a dozen speaker sessions with inspiring topics not limited to communication but creativity at large”, Lam added

“We will bring the top ten finalist teams to Macau to present to the jury on how they will implement their core idea, in a 48 hours live competition.  This year, the creative brief will be provided by one of our sponsors, the ICIRCUIT, an innovative multi-touch tablet based online multi-media information, entertainment and e-commerce services.” said Peter Soh, the third founder.

The finale of LongXi Festival of Minds will be the awards presentation ceremony of LongXi Creative Awards 2011. Since it was inaugurated in 1998 by Tomaz Mok, Peter Soh, Jimmy Lam and David Sun (1952-2010), the LongXi International Chinese Language Advertising Creative Awards has undoubtedly gained the reputation as the most respected awards in Greater China region.  Until now, LongXi was only an annual creative awards, with judging and seminars by its juries in cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Urumqi, Taipei, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

“Stepping into its 14th year in 2011, LongXi needs to excel from its halo of being a creative award to something bigger and even more influential.” said Mok.

“In a nutshell, it will be like an expo of the best communication creativity in past 12 months. In addition to LongXi, we will invite international, regional and top local creative awards show in Greater China region to showcase their top award winning entries to the delegates.” Said Jimmy Lam.
