Y&R Bangkok’s Trong Tantivejakul to head the Film Lotus and Radio Lotus categories at AdFest

Tantivejakul.jpgTrong Tantivejakul, Chief Creative Officer at Y&R Bangkok, has been named Jury President of the Film Lotus and Radio Lotus categories at AdFest 2012. Tantivejakul’s appointment completes a panel of seven of world’s top creative executives who are traveling to AdFest in Thailand on 14th March to oversee this year’s judging.

“It is a great honor to be invited to judge this show. I have been fortunate to participate in AdFest every year and have even judged before. I came away from that experience inspired and humbled. There is a vast amount of talent in Asia, which view this business in a unique way,” says Tantivejakul (pictured).

“AdFest is the only show that is built with an Asian spirit and sensibility.  It has been a showcase for Asia for a number of years where Asian work, its talent and their ideas are celebrated.  I encourage young talent in Asia to attend AdFest. It is rich in ideas and large in inspiration.”

Tantivejakul’s appointment completes this year’s line-up of Jury Presidents, which includes:

Inspired by a revolution in Thai advertising in the 1980s, Tantivejakul studied advertising at Bangkok University. He cut his teeth as a copywriter at McCann-Erickson in the USA, and later returned to Thailand to work at Leo Burnett and Y&R. With over twenty years experience, Tantivejakul has received a stash of awards at AdFest, D&AD, the Clios, Communication Arts, One Show and Cannes.
