Victor Ng rejoins Euro RSCG as Chief Creative Officer, South East Asia; Renuka Jaypal joins as Chief Executive Officer South East Asia
Victor Ng is to rejoin Euro RSCG in the newly created role of Chief Creative Officer, South East Asia. The network has also announced the hire of Renuka Jaypal to the newly created position of CEO, Southeast Asia. The appointments are effective on March 1, 2012.
Prior to re-joining Euro RSCG, Ng was Executive Creative Director for DDB Shanghai. His work has been awarded at major international award shows and he has judged at Cannes, D&AD, Clios, London International Awards, Spikes Asia, Adfest and Singapore Creative Circle Awards. In this role, which is also based in Singapore, Ng will be tasked with overseeing and shaping Euro RSCG’s creative direction across Southeast Asia.
Jaypal joins Euro RSCG from Ogilvy & Mather where she spent the past 12 years in various roles, including Managing Director of OgilvyOne India and more recently Group CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia. Jaypal has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and her account portfolio includes various domestic and multinational clients such as IBM, Cadbury, Vodafone, Unilever and Coca Cola. She will be based in Singapore.
Juan Rocamora, Chairman, Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific, commented: “South East Asia is a region brimming with talent and opportunity, and with an enormous potential for creativity and synergies across the region. Renuka and Victor are an extraordinary team, with a wealth of multi country experience, that bring a great deal of drive and passion to lead Euro RSCG to new heights. I am delighted to be able to work with them in this exciting new stage.”
On the appointments, Matthew Fanshawe, MD, Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific, said: “Renuka is a great talent and we are very excited to have her on board. She is the right person to lead the integrated operations of Euro RSCG across South East Asia and help us capitalize on the very clear growth opportunities. Vic is fantastic and worked closely with me before, helping us achieve business growth and Agency of the Year in 2009. They are a formidable pair and I am very happy to have such capable leaders in Southeast Asia.”
“What I love about this business is that it’s all about creativity, collaboration and competition. The opportunity to build on the foundation that Matt and myself have helped laid down — in partnership with new architect Renuka — is certainly an exciting and enticing one. I appreciate the extraordinary faith the Havas group has placed in me; in that spirit I want to draw on our history of success and create the future of Euro RSCG Southeast Asia”, said Ng.
“Young, hungry, lean…. with big dreams and potential begging to be tapped, I believe that ASEAN and Euro RSCG are on the same trajectory in time. Having worked most of my life in frontier markets like India and Indonesia, I am fortunate to now be at the right place with the right people at exactly the right time. I believe that our time has come to make history and honor the promise that we made to Juan Rocamora on his big ambition for ASEAN. I just can’t wait to get started…” said Jaypal.

Congrats Vic! Euro needs a massive shot in the arm like this. Now they’ve got some fight in them.
Wow…. All the best Victor. Learnt a lot from you…. keep rocking 😉
With the recent exit of Singaporean creative leaders from their cushy posts and a flood of dodgy pretenders with alien passports and even more dubious portfolios coming in, it’s bloody refreshing that a true local talent like Vic take the helm again.
Make this count-Vic!
The Euro Vic story is turning out to be soap opera material for daytime tv.
The only dubious portfolios come from Singapore, lol. You’re never really sure who did the work. We know that it’s never real – that’s a give-in.
This is gonna be history repeating itself.
Well done Euro for bringing Renuka Jaypal on board – looking forward to some interesting times…
Comparing themselves to ASEAN??/ Haha
They’re more like their namesake…the Euro.
Euro shouldn’t be in it’s current plight if not for getting in too much pretenders who spent more time talking and socialising within the agency than getting their hands dirty.
One more time and it’s a campaign Vic.
Congrats Renuka, we were wondering which part of the world you were going to stir up. Now we know. Look forward to Euro scaling new heights.
Nice to see a CEO and CD get equal billing. From someone who has seen Renuka’s leadership style in India, I think she will give creative the space it deserves, but also demand from them campaigns that push the envelope. It’s high time ad agencies set the agenda in Asia, and Renuka is one person who seems to have both left and right brains.
After Vic left, Euro squandered 2 years on dubious talents, who neither have the hunger/capacity to win awards and new biz nor the astuteness to grow and understand the local bread and butter account. Except for a handful of good ones who try to make the best out of it, the rest don’t live up to their titles or hefty paychecks. We need a local homegrown hero like Vic to steer Euro in the right direction.
It will be interesting to see if they are capable of producing any real and solid thinking for paying clients as opposed to the scam nonsense that gets people up there in the first place.
So much had been said, but time will speck and proof who is right.
from no where, Euro SG rise to Top in a very short time and die off after this man left….
his way, his matter, his thinking (right or wrong?) it still get them there at the TOP than.
Again, Time to come will speck and proof the 2nd return worth…………………lets watch…
What make a local hero?
Lose the suit, roll up the sleeves, dig deep. Play for the team. That will get Euro ticking. Good luck.
Well done Renuka! Now let’s see you make them surge ahead.
Yeah let’s see some more crackin ads for window cleaners/
