Having worked in advertising, design, digital and marketing industries, Johansen’s extensive experience includes roles in various multinational agencies such as DMG and TEQUILA/TBWA.

Commenting on this appointment, John J. Steere president and regional director of Momentum Greater China said, ‘Jacob is highly respected business leader. With over ten years of management experience in China, Jacob has managed both domestic and multinational clients’ accounts with success. He is a valuable addition to our team as we strive to meet our ambitious targets, as well as improve agency capabilities.’

Johansen said: “Chinese consumers have become very savvy and brands that realize the power of brand-centered experiences beyond product will succeed. There’s a commitment at Momentum to better integrate experiential, social, digital and shopper marketing, and do this in real time as the consumer and touch points are constantly transforming.”

According to a recent study by the Grocery Manufacturers Association in 2012, it’s estimated that shopper marketing across the retail sector is now a $50-$60 billion category, and is expected to expand its growth at an annual rate of 15 percent.
