Singapore Effie Awards: DDB Singapore named most effective creative agency of the last 10 years

david tang DDB.jpgFollowing on from our previous story, DDB Group Singapore’s amazing track record over the past ten years at the Singapore’s Effie Awards continued when they were named the Singapore Effies ‘Most Effective Creative Agency of the Decade’. The award was a special trophy to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Effies and was based on the awards accumulated by each agency over the past decade.

Mindshare was awarded the Most Effective Media Agency and Health Promotion Board the Most Effective Advertiser.

DDB picked up an Effie for all four of its short listed entries: The agency was awarded a gold Effie in recognition of its highly effective and creative campaign for DBS Bank’s insurance ‘Expect the even more unexpected’, for the second year in a row. 

The agency was also awarded a silver Effie for Courts’ digital campaign ‘Demolition’ – a collaborative effort led by Rapp Singapore. DDB’s creative campaigns for StarHub’s ‘Project Family Time’ and StarHub’s SafeSurf (Adult Content Web Filtering Service) campaign ‘Birds and the Bees 2.0’; each took home a bronze Effie.

“It’s an incredible run to keep this up for 10 years. We never imagine we could but we just kept on running. My deep and sincere thanks to all our clients and the team who ran alongside us,” said David Tang (pictured), president and CEO of DDB Group Singapore.

The Singapore Effie Awards, recognised as the pre-eminent award in the communications industry, is presented by the Institute of Advertising Singapore. It honours the most significant achievement in the business of marketing communications: ideas that work. Winning an Effie has become a global symbol of achievement, celebratingcreative thinking and effectiveness in the marketplace. The 10th Singapore Effie Award ceremony took place on 7 June at the Swissotel The Stamford in Singapore.
