Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) report newly elected board of directors for Asia Pacific

mobile.jpgThe Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), today announced the new Board of Directors for Asia Pacific. Eight newly elected members will join ten incumbent members to form the new Board. Newly-elected Board members will serve a two-year term beginning October 2013.

The newly appointed members of the Board include:

Maggie Ng, Director- Digital Media, Prudential Corporation Asia

Michelle Froah, Senior Marketing Director- Asia Pacific, Kimberly Clark Corporation

Vishal Bali, Managing Director- Consumer Insights & Innovation, North Asia, Southeast Asia and Pacific, The Nielsen Company

Wander Meijer, CEO, Brandtone Asia

The Board of Directors will join the regional executive committee in developing and shaping the MMA’s initiatives in the region. The regional executive committee comprises of:

Honorary Secretary: Andrew Knott, Vice President – Digital, McDonald’s Corporation

MMA: Rohit Dadwal, Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Speaking on the election of the new board members by MMA’s member base, Chairman Rahul Welde commented, “The mobile marketing landscape is changing continuously and mobile ad spend in the region is expected to record double digit growth in the coming years. This is an exciting space to be in and the composition of the board will ensure that the interests of all the players in the industry are represented as push ahead with our goal of making mobile an integral part of the marketing mix.”

The Asia-Pacific Board joins its counterparts in three other regions (EMEA, LATAM and North America) in identifying and advocating for the issues and needs of its particular region, and its Chair and Vice Chair will also join the Global Board of Directors, which focuses more on establishing the overall direction of the industry and the governance of the organization.
