Two AM partner Kieran Kuek and M&C Saatchi’s Evelynn Tan take a trip to Chalice LA to produce new “Malaysia Truly Asia” theme song
Together with M&C Saatchi Malaysia, Two AM music studios galloped into the year of the horse with a brand new theme song for Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
This year’s campaign is focused on marketing Malaysia not only as a charming tourist destination but also a land of spirituality and cultural diversity.
Two AM was given the task of reinterpreting the classic “Malaysia Truly Asia” theme song originally sung by iconic Malaysian songstress Khatijah Ibrahim.
The new track saw Evelynn Tan of M&C Saatchi with composer/partner of Two AM, Kieran Kuek, (pictured above) jetting off to Chalice Recording Studios in L.A. to produce the song. It features local homegrown talent and international star Yuna on vocals.
The list of clients who have recorded at Chalice is quite jaw dropping, from Bruno Mars and Beyonce to Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli.
Kuek, says it was quite the experience and would implore agencies to take heed and fly composers around the world on a more regular basis.
