The Media Shop Singapore has appointed long-time digital honcho, Lee Chee Wee, as its new digital director.
Lee will work with business director, Jessica Toh to increase the agency’s digital and social offerings in Asia-Pacific. He joins The Media Shop with over 10 years of experience in digital brand equity management and online marketing for multi-national companies as well as successful start-ups.
On his new role, Lee said, “I’m extremely thrilled to be part of The Media Shop, an independent agency that dares to challenge the status quo and at the same time is backed by a dedicated team with a passion for innovation.”
On the digital media landscape, Lee mentioned that “digital gets the most buzz but often accounts for less than a third of the marketing spend.” As digital director, he plans to “evangelize the benefits of online as well as social media, and help clients achieve their goals in the rapidly evolving digital space.”
Lee will be joining The Media Shop at the juncture of their planned expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
“We’re excited for Chee Wee to be part of the team at a time when we are looking to expand our footprint into Indonesia and Australia,” said Toh. “Given his considerable experience in the digital space, more effective strategies can be devised to help our clients connect with their audiences digitally. He is well-positioned to lead and execute digital innovation which will maximize the return on investment for our clients.”
