Office1.jpgCheil Hong Kong has relocated into a brand-new workplace located in Sheung Wan. The new office which accommodates up to 100 staff was designed by Bean Buro Architects and contracted with Winsmart. With stylish settings, snug furniture and lighting and artistic decorations the workspace has been created into a space which feels like working at home.

Cheil’s office is on 3-floors with a total area of 25,000 sq.ft. In presenting the home-feeling environment, a fresh open plan studio space with long desk clusters forming the open plan areas was implemented, while private offices and meeting rooms are located around the perimeter of the floor space.

Office 2.jpgWithin the spacious open area, all departments are linked together by a continuous ribbon-like joinery system. It also provides a variety of functions such as low storage shelves, in-wall seats for informal meetings and shared work surfaces that undulates between desktop and bar heights. Spawning from this ribbon around are the fingers of long desk clusters, which mutates into full height bookshelves at one end. The overall effect is holistic, energetic and young, and feels connected. Making the office feel more like a home, a comfy lounge with a fireplace, custom-made diner booths and leather made sofas.
