In the newly created role, Fu is responsible for overseeing senior leadership recruitment across the firm’s geographies and practices to keep pace with its rapid growth. Prior to her appointment, Fu served as chief talent officer of Daniel J. Edelman (DJE) China Group. Fu (pictured) has relocated to Hong Kong and reports to David Brain, president and CEO of Edelman APACMEA.

“Our business has gone from around 700 people to more than 1,300 people over the last three years,” said Brain. “Size means we can specialize more and that means a better service for clients but it also means we have to invest even more heavily in training and in recruitment. We want the best PR people but we also want planners, media buyers, creative directors, designers and directors. Grace is a best-of-breed specialist in human resources, talent and recruitment in this region and has demonstrated great leadership, professionalism and business acumen in her work as one of the most important members of our China leadership team.”

Over the past five years Fu has led Edelman and DJE China Group’s HR and talent function to support growth of the group to more than 300 employees across its Edelman, Pegasus Communications, Edelman Digital and Zeno brands.

Prior to joining Edelman, Fu worked as a senior consultant for Antal International and as a business analyst for SPBD Consulting. She holds an MBA from Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
