Cheil Worldwide South Korea appoints Peter Kim in newly created role of chief digital officer
Cheil Worldwide is continuing to broaden its digital and social offering with the appointment of Peter Kim as Chief Digital Officer. In this newly created role, Kim will lead the further development and expansion of Cheil’s digital practice. Based in Seoul where the network is headquartered, he will be charged with building Cheil’s digital business platforms and expanding digital capabilities, both at home and abroad. The addition of Kim is set to strengthen the company’s position in an unrelenting digital marketplace.
Kim, who joins from Constellation Research where he was Chief Strategy Officer and Principal Analyst, has been working in digital strategy since 1999. Prior to working at Constellation, he was Chief Solutions Architect and Chief Strategy Officer at Dachis Group, a multi-million dollar advisory firm dedicated to social business. In this time, he started and grew the company from 2 to over 200 employees; led the firm’s thought leadership initiatives, including co-authoring the book Social Business By Design; and created a worldwide Social Business Summit series with events in the US, Brazil, Germany and China.
Kim’s earlier stints include Vice President Managing Director of R/GA, Head of Global Digital Marketing at PUMA and Principal Consultant at Razorfish. Throughout his career, he initiated dozens of new client relationships including The Estee Lauder Companies, Citibank and Coca-Cola.

Kim holds an MBA in Strategy & Marketing from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania. He will report to Daiki Lim, President and CEO of Cheil Worldwide.
