Takeshi Mori joins Edelman Japan as an advisor
Edelman Japan has hired Takeshi Mori as an advisor. Mori will advise the senior executives of Edelman’s clients on how to best promote and protect their brands both domestically and abroad.
Prior to joining Edelman, Mori was executive officer at Dentsu from 2006, and managing director at Dentsu Europe from 1995. Mori first joined Dentsu in 1973 where he has worked across creative, planning and account servicing, and retired from Dentsu in June 2014.
Mori also served as president of the Public Relations Society of Japan from 2010-2014 and vice president in charge of China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan for the International Advertising Association over the same period. Mori holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree from Hitotsubashi University.
“Having someone with Mori-san’s rich experience and knowledge adds deep firepower to our bench as we strive to help companies re-define how they approach communications and marketing in Japan and globally in a rapidly changing stakeholder environment,” said Ross Rowbury, president of Edelman Japan.
“Edelman Japan has bucked the trend in this market not only with its amazing year on year growth, but also its forward thinking approach to communications and the broader marketing mix,” said Mori.
