Shannon Cullum to replace Paul Roebuck as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore + Malaysia
As of September, Shannon Cullum will lead Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia as CEO, marking a significant turning point as the agencies achieve strides in creative excellence, mobile and digital technology, as well as shopper marketing.
Cullum (left) will add his new responsibilities to his existing portfolio as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Indonesia and Chief Growth Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi Asia-Pacific. He will build a synergistic regional offering for the Network’s local and regional clients. Cullum replaces Paul Roebuck who is moving to the USA.
“With Shannon leading Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia, we have a world-class leadership team to help our clients navigate the dynamic changes happening in the region,” said Chris Foster, Chairman and Regional CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Asia-Pacific. “With the addition of Dominic Stallard as Executive Creative Director, and Tom Eslinger, Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide Director of Digital and Social, leading our digital teams regionally, I look forward to great things.”
“Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore has an incredible creative legacy. We have been one of the best in the world and home to some of the brightest talent in the global industry,” said Cullum. “I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to lead the agency at this point of its journey, and be able to integrate our capability across offices. We are already seeing the benefits with the attraction of top creative talent, optimised delivery across the region and new business.”

This must be the ultimate in cost cutting….one ceo for 3 countries. wow.
The money saved is going into business class air tickets to boost the ailing airline industry. Win-Win.
I wish the money saved would go into some decent talent instead of low cost walmart style creatives.
Quite a cheapskate move. Sounds like a CEO who flies in shakes a few hands kisses some (agency) babies and jets off to the next photo opp.
Another classic case of giving a gig to an old mate & ‘cheerleader’ at the expense of fostering (pardon the pun) and promoting local leadership talent.
Thankfully the progressive networks have wised up to this old trick!
Chances of a client in Malaysia actually ever seeing the people mentioned in the article = more or less zero.
Singapore has better bars, so chances could rise as high as 4% there.
Congratulation Mr Cullum. Well deserved.
Just a shame the PR release couldn’t publicly acknowledge the great job Paul did at the helm – especially when staff in both offices loved him so much.
Used to be the Saatchi Way!
This guy is brilliant. Funny, smart and full of energy. And above politics. Really.
Shannon is a great guy and great worker, but so was Paul. Why doesn’t the release honor Paul more? Saatchi becoming more political?
True.
Herein lies the answer!
Indeed it was a truly ungracious press release. But is it surprising? S&S M’sia and S’pore were practically falling to pieces when DT was at the helm. PR was brought in to help bring both companies back on track. And that is exactly what he did in less than 2 years. No need for thanks or big claps on his back. A little “Good Luck” or ” All the Best” in PR’s next endeavour would have been nice. Kind. There is obviously not an ounce of decency being fostered (pardon the pun) at the top.
SC, all the best. Bear in mind, when you are with assholes, you will start smelling of s#%t.
PR, you were great and will be sorely missed. You smell ….DIVINE!
I don’t know Paul Roebuck but have watched from afar his heroic skills at turning this basket case of an agency around….into staying on its feet.
Thank you Grace…for saying the few words that cost nothing yet mean everything.
