Orient Securities + Shanghai Xinyan Advertising express the beauty of investing through opera in new brand spot directed by Liberum13
Financial services company Orient Securities launches a new brand campaign shot by director David Lin of Liberum13. The campaign created by Shanghai Xinyan Advertising is based on the idea that investing successfully is not only a matter of analytics, but a form of art. Orient Securities offers custom tailored services specifically designed to meet the needs of individual investors, by providing a select team of experienced wealth managers and best-in-class investment advisors.
The spot titled ‘Opera’ takes a dramatic approach to illustrate the company’s vision and philosophy when it comes to investing. Using a traditional Beijing opera and contemporary ballet as the backdrop, the film creates a strong tension and visual balance of tradition and modernity while displaying the beauty of both.
‘I wanted to give the overall campaign a cinematic quality. We looked closely at subject matter not commonly associated with financial commercials to help tell our story in a unique way.’ said David Lin, director at Liberum13.
Voice over: “When we push beyond the fighting, we thrive. Where substance transcends to empowerment. It’s our commitment to craft your investments like fine art.”

Just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s good. This is quite a stretch. Craft your investment like fine art. Really?
