Costa Coffee X Anomaly Shanghai.jpgCosta Coffee has retained Anomaly Shanghai as their lead marketing partner in China.

As the coffee category continues to see strong growth, Costa owner Whitbread plans to expand the coffee chain in China from 344 to 900 coffee shops by 2020. Along with the growth, comes a need to better define what the brand means in China, and how it best connects with consumers.

Anomaly has been tasked with developing a long-term, locally relevant communications platform for the brand in China, as well as working with existing partners to help bring that platform to life.

“We are excited to have found a strong strategic and creative partner to help us take the Costa brand and business to the next level in China” said Ray Hsu, Costa China Marketing Director . “We were impressed by Anomaly’s business centric and channel neutral way of thinking”.

“Costa is an iconic brand with a strong legacy and above all, a great product” said Richard Summers, Partner at Anomaly Shanghai. ” We’re excited to be working closely together to innovate in every aspect of the marketing mix.”
