Dorothy Yew - Toaster.jpgLondon-headquartered Toaster has announced the appointment of Dorothy Yew, who has taken up duties in April this year as Managing Director for its Asia Pacific operations, based in Singapore.

The agency, which originally grew out of Google’s Creative Lab and cites Google and YouTube as key clients, is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing independent digital creative agencies. With operations in Europe and the United States well established, Toaster has now created a strong presence in Asia Pacific, with a footprint that includes offices in Singapore, Jakarta and Delhi. Announcements on new offices in the region are expected soon.

Toaster co-founder, Tom Dunn, said, “Dorothy’s energy and enthusiasm attracted us immediately, her knowledge of the industry and track record of growing an agency made her a natural fit. We are working to create long-standing strategic partnerships with our clients globally. Dorothy has a proven ability to do this for our Asia Pacific business, as evidenced by our recent appointment as strategic digital agency partner for Unilever Clear.”

Prior to joining Toaster, Yew (pictured) was Group Managing Director of Arcade in Singapore where she helped build the business, since acquired by Publicis Group, into a major regional force. Her twenty-year career has included senior management stints at McCann Worldgroup, BBDO, BBH and on the client-side at Asia Pacific Breweries.

“I’m really excited by Toaster’s proposition,” said Yew. “We recognise the client’s need to elevate real world brand interaction and engagement, creating highly dynamic experiences for consumers. Experiences which advance and build meaningful relationships.”

Yew’s appointment comes soon after Toaster’s engagement of Vinod Savio as their Executive Creative Director in Singapore. Savio joined Toaster earlier this year following an eight-year tenure at DDB.
