Ogilvy Taiwan bolsters leadership by promoting Giant Kung to Chief Creative Officer and appoints Amy Shih as CSO

Ogilvy Taiwan has announced two senior appointments with Giant Kung’s promotion to Chief Creative Officer and Amy Shih’s return to the agency as Chief Strategy Officer.

Going forward, the two leaders will assist Daniel Lee, Chief Executive of Ogilvy Taiwan to continue the company’s digital transformation, and evolve modern marketing capabilities to make client brands matter.

“Ogilvy Taiwan has been crowned both Campaign Asia’s Creative and Digital Agency of the year in 2019. We have successfully built a single branded agency, and kicked-off our digital transformation journey. We need more outstanding leaders to participate in this journey, and bring the power of our fully integrated modern agency to our clients. We’re very happy to have Amy return as Chief Strategy Officer, and Giant Kung promoted as Chief Creative Officer. With Amy’s digital transformation expertise, and Giant’s award-winning creative experience, we will not only help clients’ business grow, but also make clients’ brands matter,” said Lee.

From a copywriter to becoming the Chief Creative Officer, Kung joined Ogilvy Taiwan in 2001 with around 20 years of experience within the agency. He was awarded Taiwan’s first Golden Pencil from One Show in 2016, and received numerous award recognitions from New York Festival, London International, Clio, One Show and Cannes Lions. His clients include Motorola, Uni President, Seven-Eleven, Watson, SONY, eBay, Brands, GSK, FarEastone, Tencent, Cathay Financial Holdings, Benz, Nike, Peacock Biscuit, Yahoo!, Vedan’sMorewater, and Pxmart.

Shih has over 20 years of experience in brand & marketing communications. She was Senior VP at Cathay Financial Holdings for two years, responsible for digital transformation and new business strategies. Before joining Cathay Financial Holdings, she spent 18 years of her career at Ogilvy Taiwan. From researcher to planning partner, she continues to dig deep into consumer insights, market analysis and strategic development capabilities, while adding data analysis to the scene to open new thinking for strategic planning. Her clients include Pxmart, Cathay Financial Holdings, IKEA and Volkswagen.
