ECD Andrew Low leaves Ogilvy China

Andrew Low has resigned from his ECD role with Ogilvy in China.

Low joined Ogilvy Beijing from Leo Burnett Malaysia in June 2017 and transferred to the Shenzhen agency earlier this year. Prior to Leo Burnett Low spent 8 years with Ogilvy Malaysia. Over recent months Low has been working remotely for Ogilvy based in Malaysia.

“With the continuity of the pandemic and travel quarantine restrictions, it only makes sense to be closer to where family is,” said Low. “It’s a no-brainer. After all, with over 3 ½ years working in China and a total of over 11 years with the Ogilvy network – perhaps it was time to close this chapter.”

“Little did I expect that in my search for more creative accolades and business recognition on the Mainland, what I gained in return was more precious than that. For the great memories, the many friendships and experiences; the graciousness of the people; their culture; the many local ways of influence; the support and trust from clients and vendors – I am truly grateful.”

Low told Campaign Brief Asia that he was looking forward to the next step in his career, which will be announced soon.
