Weber Shandwick appoints marketing veteran Steven Koh as Managing Director, Korea
Steven Koh has joined global communications and marketing solutions firms, Weber Shandwick, as Managing Director for its South Korea operations.
Reporting to Tyler Kim, CEO, Asia Pacific, Weber Shandwick, Koh joins the firm with nearly 30 years of agency experience and will oversee the operational, strategic and growth strategy for the Korean business.
Having led global, regional and local campaigns across Asia-Pacific, Europe and the United States, Koh has served and led a wide variety of clients across FMCG, IT, finance, technology, healthcare, automotive and other cross category sectors over his career in integrated marketing capacities. He has previously held leadership positions at Wunderman (now Wunderman Thompson), Ogilvy One in Korea and TBWA NY as managing director on one of the network’s significant global account operations. Koh led Samsung Electronics’ global brand strategy and integrated brand communications for a decade as part of Cheil Worldwide based out of Seoul and NY. He also has significant experience in market entry strategies having worked in India and other emerging markets during his agency career.
Most recently, Koh was the brand strategy officer for SK geocentric (formerly SK global chemicals and part of the SK Group of Companies / SK Innovation), where he led domestic and global brand strategy development and communications, with a focus on corporate and ESG.
