Tribal Worldwide Singapore launches National Day TikTok Challenge to mark Singapore’s 57th birthday
Tribal Worldwide Singapore has launched a nationwide TikTok challenge to mark Singapore’s 57th birthday and a return to bigger, better celebrations after two years of muted National Day Parades (NDP) due to pandemic safety concerns.
Collaborating with 2022’s National Day Parade Commander Lieutenant Colonel Desmond Fu, the agency has challenged Singaporeans to piece together a ‘jumbled up’ NDP command by commenting in the video with the right sequence.
Paying tribute to Singapore’s much-loved ‘Parade and Ceremony’ segments of the NDP, the initiative aims to introduce little-known NDP commands to the public in a fun and engaging way, with the broader goal of generating interest in the NDP amongst a new generation of youths. The longest and most complex command, the ‘march off’ command was introduced by LTC Desmond Fu in this unique challenge.
Benson Toh, Executive Creative Director of Tribal Worldwide, said: “The NDP is one of the most spectacular events of the year and Singaporeans have really missed attending it in person over the past 2 years. Now that it’s back in full force, we want to celebrate it in a big way. With this fun and informative TikTok challenge, we also hope to get more youths excited about celebrating our nation – this year and every year onwards!
