Seven Sunday Films Asia and Tasty Pictures Australia join forces to create powerhouse tabletop film offering for Asian market
Seven Sunday Films in Asia has expanded their production offering by creating a streamlined gateway to specialist tabletop production for food and beverage clients in Southeast Asia, by joining forces with Australian tabletop powerhouse Tasty Pictures.
The strategic collaboration will see both companies in a position to service clients from offices across the region including Singapore, Brisbane, Jakarta, Bali, Sydney and Kuala Lumpur.
Tasty Pictures brings to the fore, its specialist team of world class tabletop directors, DP’s, food stylists and cutting edge motion control robot technology, accompanied by internationally trained motion control operators. Currently housed in the purpose built Tasty studio facility in Brisbane, the two BOLT motion control robots make up a combination rarely seen in the Southern Hemisphere, making this unique technology now easily accessible within the region, especially with the growth in remote production shoot models.
Rodney Vincent, President + Founder of Seven Sunday Films said: “We are very excited to begin this journey with Andrew (Wareham) and Tasty Pictures. I have known Andrew and his team for a few years now and have absolute respect for what Tasty are consistently producing.
“I have the pleasure of working with many food and drink companies here in Indonesia and am continually exploring how I can improve our offering. Thanks in part to Covid-19, I was introduced to working remotely on the BOLT motion control robots with Andrew and his team at Tasty. Having that expertise working alongside my team here in Asia will vastly enhance our creative offering and bring a fresh and ambitious model to our clients in the region.”
Andrew Wareham, Managing Director + Executive Producer at Tasty Pictures, said: “I have worked with Rodney and Seven Sunday Films on a few projects in the past and have always admired their expertise, knowledge, and international business acumen. Last year, we did a remote tabletop job with them via our Tasty studio in Brisbane and that project went so well, that it started conversations on how we could bring our world class team of tabletop specialists and technology to the region, to create the complete production experience, as we both felt that specialised expertise was lacking in the area”.
With expansion plans already being discussed, and potential studio space being scoped in the region, Vincent and Wareham are confident that their joint venture will have food and beverage clients keen to learn more.
Says Stephen Douglas, Executive Director at Seven Sunday Films: “This is a real game-changer, as it will provide far more opportunity for clients across Asia to access a truly world- class and award-winning team. This unique collaboration of motion control robot technology and specialist tabletop production will only raise the bar across the region”.
Tasty Pictures is part of The Taxi Group, a collection of specialist production offerings, bringing excellence to screen of all sizes. The Taxi Group is spearheaded by its flagship brand, Taxi Film Production.
