Indonesia’s Citra Pariwara ad festival is back and will be held in Bali for the first time

Indonesian Advertising Agencies Association, Jakarta Chapter will hold Citra Pariwara festival again in person. After being held online only for the past two years, the annual festival which is usually held in Jakarta, will be held in Bali December 14-16, 2022, in Sofitel Hotel Nusa Dua.

 

In brief remarks at the Citra Pariwara Socialization held on Friday, September 16, 2022, Elwin Mok, chairman of P3I DKI Jaya emphasized that Citra Pariwara, which has run annually for 34 years, will be held in Bali.

Mok said: “We, advertising people, mostly appear behind the scenes. Citra Pariwara is a once in a year event where the stage is for all of us. Hopefully the best works will win this year.”

New Format of the Event
Meanwhile, Reza Fitriano as Chairman of Citra Pariwara 35, will work along with Devi Attamimi and Adi S. Noegroho as Co-Chairwoman/man, to introduce new things besides the new venue on the coast of Nusa Dua, Bali.

For the first time, Citra Pariwara will hold an Awarding Night over two nights. In addition, the Masterclass program will be part of the ”Road to CP35” and will be held in November in Jakarta. The Seminar will be held as one of a series of events in Bali, together with the new program ”Up Close with The Award” before the Awarding Night is Held.

Sponsored Support at Special Awards and BG & DM Awards
This year’s Citra Pariwara, BG & Daun Muda Awards will be supported by Youtube. Continuing the format of last year’s Daun Muda Award, there will be a “schooling session” that will be mentored by senior advertising figures. Also, at this year’s event there will be a Special Award which will be supported by Investing in Women. This award is a special entry category for campaigns that boldly challenge gender stereotypes by normalizing the equal distribution of caring and economic roles between genders.

International Class Judges
Several well-known names will be filling the presidential jury in this year’s Citra Pariwara including Cheuk Chiang, Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu Creative APAC; Jason Williams, Head of Creative Excellence Publicis Groupe APACMEA; I Ketut Alam Wangsawijaya, Executive Vice President of BCA; Rajay Singh, Film Director & Founder of Directors Think Tank; Oliver Stutz, Executive Creative Director & Partner of Two AM Music Global; Fahmi Rahmadiputra, Creative Director of Hakuhodo Indonesia; and Sandru Emil, Co- Founder/Creative Business Director of Ambilhati.

Sticking to Advertising Ethics
Susilo Dwihatmanto, Chairman of the Advertising Standard Committee – Indonesian Advertising Agencies Association stressed the importance of the submitted works to pay attention to advertising ethics with judging conducted by members of the BPP P3I, before the works are judged by the main judges of the category.
