ASICS’ partners with Japanese artists Frankie Cihi

Athletic brand, ASICS’ has collaborated with Japanese artists, Frankie Cihi in this new campaign.

 

Each year, ASICS hosts an annual World Ekiden race. The Ekiden race was founded on community, heritage, and Japanese running culture. It challenges teams of up to 6 runners to combine their skills in completing a marathon relay. To honor the tradition and culture of the race, ASICS is teaming up with Cihi who was chosen to create the visual representation of the Ekiden race using ASICS master brand palette. This final piece of art has become the visual identity of the 2022 global ASICS Ekiden campaign.

Cihi is a Tokyo based artist who specializes in paintings and murals. She serves as the first of many Japanese artists ASICS will collaborate with annually to develop the visual identity of future ASICS World Ekiden campaigns.
