Delta Air Lines runs new campaign at Nagoya and Kanayama stations featuring Kanoa Igarashi

Delta Air Lines has recently launched an adverting campaign at Meitetsu Nagoya Station and Kanayama Station to promote Delta’s service between Chubu International Airport (NGO) and Detroit International Airport (DTW).

As Japan eased travel restrictions in October and leisure travel demand from the Chubu region is expected to increase, Delta kicked off the campaign at the Chubu International Airport, with the support of the airport authority, hanging large-sized banners from the ceiling of the lobby. Delta launched additional OOHs at Kanayama Station and at Meitetsu Nagoya Station. One highlights the convenient connectivity from Nagoya to the U.S. via its Detroit hub. The other one features Kanoa Igarashi (Kinoshita Group), a Delta-sponsored professional surfer who sits comfortably in Delta Premium Select. The creative was done by IBN, a Japan-based agency.

Delta currently operates three flights per week on its Airbus 330-200 aircraft. This aircraft is equipped with 34 fully flat-bed seats in Delta One, 21 seats in Delta Premium Select, 24 in Delta Comfort+ and 144 in the Main Cabin. Every seat has access to Wi-Fi, free personal in-flight seatback entertainment screens and power ports. Meals, created in partnership with Delta’s Michelin two-star consulting chef, Norio Ueno, will be featured in all cabins.

Delta Premium Select offers travelers more space to stretch out and relax with a wider seat, additional recline, and an adjustable footrest and leg rest on most long-haul international flights.

Customers will enjoy more dedicated service touchpoints throughout their flight, like a special ‘bubbles and bites’ moment, with sparkling wine, water and a special treat shortly after takeoff, as well as a premium snack basket. They receive new handmade amenity kits that Someone Somewhere artisans created exclusively for Delta, featuring Grown Alchemist travel essentials. Other premium amenities, including a memory-foam pillow, noise-canceling headsets and a plush blanket made from recycled materials, are also designed to make the in-flight experience more comfortable and relaxing.
