McCann Kuala Lumpur are looking for two new copywriters to join their creative team.

SENIOR COPYWRITER
The Senior Copywriter, working in partnership with an Art Director/Designer, is responsible for the creation and development of concepts, ideas and creative strategies which sell the Client’s brands, products or services.

This person has to be comfortable in the digital environment, and would have had experience in running campaigns or projects on social media and other digital platforms. This needs to be complemented by a full 360 mind-set, to utilise all communication channels.

Having entrepreneurial mind-set is a plus, and also the passion to push the boundaries of innovation. This also needs to be coupled with a strong streak of pragmatism that understands the reality of the Client’s business concerns and focus on results.

He/she is expected to demonstrate leadership skills in guiding the junior members of the agency. As a senior, he/she is also expected to engage with clients as and when necessary.

It’s important for this person to be a team player, with good EQ, and work closely with brand marketing colleagues. He/she needs to be flexible, quick thinking and decisive when dealing with issues and problems.

COPYWRITER
The Copywriter, working in partnership with an Art Director/Designer, is responsible for the creation and development of concepts, ideas and creative strategies which sell the Client’s brands, products or services.

He/she needs to be broad-minded, flexible and open to new ideas and opinions. This person is also someone who is not afraid to voice our his/her viewpoints when engaging with colleagues. He/she should possess good EQ and is a willing team player. Flexibility, quick-thinking and decisiveness are also desirable qualities.

This person has to be comfortable in the digital environment, and would have had experience in running campaigns or projects on social media and other digital platforms. This needs to be complemented by a full 360 mind-set, to utilise all communication channels.

Being entrepreneurial is a plus point. This person should be willing to explore new boundaries and push the limits. He/she also needs to be practical and understand the reality of the Client’s business issues and KPIs.
