Vishal Bhardwaj directs India’s first Shot on iPhone film via TBWA\Media Arts Lab Singapore
World-renowned director, Vishal Bhardwaj has partnered with TBWA\Media Arts Lab Singapore to launch India’s first Shot on iPhone film for Apple.
The film titled, “Fursat,” is a love story wrapped in the past, present, and future that evolves into an epic musical featuring original music and choreography through trains, ancient cities, deserts, and motorbikes — all beautifully shot on iPhone.
In the film, Nishant and Diya are in love, but Nishant struggles to prove his love for Diya because he is distracted by his obsession with a magical relic called the ‘Doordarshak’ that can see the future — if only Nishant could get it to work. In a race against time and science, Nishant’s mission to save Diya jumps from the past, present, and future, intertwined with theatrical dance performances. Ultimately, Diya, an intelligent and quick-thinking doctor, saves them all. They realize that Nishant’s obsession with the future and Diya’s fixation on the past does not matter. All that matters is their love at the moment that is true, real, and present.
The 30-minute film will be accompanied by a behind-the-scenes that highlight how the compact nature of the device, paired with the robust features of Action mode, made it easy for Bhardwaj to capture the world’s first end-to-end musical on iPhone.
