UK storytellers MYTHSMYTH and Directors Think Tank unite for Asian representation

London-based production company MYTHSMYTH and Directors Think Tank South-East Asia have agreed on a collaboration including mutual directorial representation. A win-win for both companies, this extends to shared resources and mutual production support capability across Asia and Europe.

The freshly-minted brainchild of acclaimed film director David Edwards and executive producer James Bolton, MYTHSMYTH is a new production company based in London, with an extensive portfolio of campaigns for high-profile brands from the UK as well as international brands such as Audi, Budweiser, BBC, Waitrose, NSPCC, Sky, MTV, Etihad Airways, Sky, VW, New Balance, TUI, Yorkshire Tea, Honda, Rowse Honey, Grolsch, and Microsoft.

“MYTHSMYTH was founded on the principles of collaboration and creative ambition. My experience working with Directors Think Tank partly influenced this, and I love how they mentor and develop young talent,” said Edwards. “Our roster is made up of a very special team of extraordinary filmmakers, and we share the same ethos of supporting and nurturing our newer directors. While we expect our numbers to grow as the company develops, we were determined to start relatively small with nine directors and build a genuinely collaborative team. And we couldn’t be happier with the individuals we have on board.”

MYTHSMYTH has a carefully selected roster of directors with a strong visual storytelling style, unified by their ambition to tell stories that move. Defined by a commitment to crafting great ideas into exceptional films, the MYTHSMYTH roster blends experience and style.

Bolton said: “We are thrilled to be launching the incredible MYTHSMYTH roster not only in the UK but, thanks to our friends Directors Think Tank, in Asia too. We’ve seen fantastic work being produced in the region and we’re delighted that our directors will have access to this exciting market. The combination of ambitious creative and brave client makes it a hugely appealing scenario for us, so we’re hugely excited about what lies ahead.”

Rajay Singh, founder and film director of Directors Think Tank South-East Asia, said: “We are honoured to represent the MYTHSMYTH directors roster across Asia. Directors Think Tank has always been about providing the best talent to clients and giving a platform to our directors to create opportunities and have the tools to do their best work. We’re excited to be able to offer this to David and his team, and be part of the MYTHSMYTH journey. David is not only an acclaimed director but also down-to-earth. He really cares about the work. It’s nice to meet like-minded folks, and we look forward to working together.”

“Through this synergy, this opens doorways for greater production capability in the UK and Europe for us, and in return, we can offer MYTHSMYTH the very best production support here as well for their projects,” said Carson Ng, Executive Producer for Production Services for Directors Think Tank. “No matter the budget, we are here to help each one another and leverage resources to produce the best quality work for all our clients.”

Directors Think Tank will represent the MYTHSMYTH roster of directors across South-East Asia, while MYTHSMYTH has added Rajay Singh and Sling Ng from Directors Think Tank to their roster for representation in the UK and Europe.

The partnership is expected to bring new creative opportunities for MYTHSMYTH and Directors Think Tank and their respective clients in the UK, Europe and across Asia.
