NEW STARS: Alva–Olrange Indonesia’s Rizki Bastian and Vincentius Jeremy Vinda Perdana win Gold

MAD STARS has announced the winners of this year’s NEW STARS competition for junior advertisers from all over the world with less than five years’ experience. It is an opportunity to learn about the craft of advertising from leading professionals and a chance to experience the technology and trends influencing the world.

Rizki Bastian & Vincentius Jeremy Vinda Perdana from Alva – Olrange, Indonesia have taken out Gold for their campaign, “THE ABUSIVE APPLIANCES.”

Alfred Wee, Executive Creative Director, McCann Worldgroup, Singapore, said: “The NEW STARS competition was a global showcase of extraordinary talent and creativity, featuring 48 teams who tackled a challenging brief. Being part of the jury was a fantastic opportunity to share our perspectives and provide feedback. Overall, the judges were highly impressed by the innovative ideas presented by the competitors.”

“While we would have liked to see broader emotional themes beyond technology, the results were still outstanding. The top three spots went to teams IndoGotBalls, Joy & Pearson, and Driftwood, winning Gold and Silvers for the region and demonstrating impressive potential to become future industry leaders.”

48 teams from all over the world enjoyed a series of workshops and lectures before they challenged themselves to compete to respond to a real client brief. Their task was to create a campaign idea for Positive Parenting with just 30 hours to meet the deadline. Their aim was to promote mutual understanding and encourage growth between parents and their children for the National Center for the Rights of the Child in South Korea.
