Campaign Brief Asia’s Hong Kong Creative Rankings 2023: Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong’s Paul Chan takes out #1 ranking again – Edmond Leung and Wilson Ang rank in equal #2 position
Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong’s Paul Chan is once again on top of Campaign Brief Asia’s 2023 Hong Kong Creative Rankings. Chan has enjoyed outstanding success at award shows over recent years and this is reflected in his #1 ranking overall in Asia in the 2021 and 2022 Creative Rankings. Edmond Leung (Cheil) and Wilson Ang (ex-Cheil) are ranked equal #2 and making a clear top 3 in Hong Kong. The trio from worked closely with sister agency Cheil PengTai Beijing on multiple campaigns.
Paul Chan is one of the creative stars in Asia and ranked as the #1 creative in Asia in both 2021 and 2020. He retains his #1 ranking in Hong Kong this year with a total of 2205 points – winning awards at AdFest 23 + 22, One Show 23 + 22, D&AD 23 + 22, Clio 23 + 22, Spikes Asia 23 + 22, Cannes 22, LIA 22, AWARD Awards 22, MAD Stars, New York Festivals and Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 23 + 22.
In equal #2 on 1930 points are Cheil’s Edmond Leung and ex-Cheil and current Wunderman Thompson ECD, Wilson Ang. Along with Chan Leung and Ang worked on both the “Quest For Dyslexia” and “The Cost Of Bullying” campaign’s for Samsung.
Also from Cheil in equal #4 are Ivan Au and Lili Jiang who scored points at AdFest 22, Spikes Asia 22, Clio 22, AWARD Awards 22 and Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 22.
Saatchi & Saatchi Hong Kong’s Francis Wong ranks #6 with 270 points ahead Publicis Group Hong Kong’s Christopher Lee in #8 on 255 points.
Rounding out the top 8 in #8 is Kevin Lai from MSL Hong Kong with 215 points.
