Release your stress with CoCo Philippines says latest GIGIL Manila campaign
CoCo Philippines is a fresh tea and juice brand, primarily known for its boba milk tea. The brand enlisted GIGIL to create a new campaign aimed at obtaining business from coffee drinkers.
What makes milk tea unique from coffee is the cup’s plastic cover and how drinkers stab their straw through it – which can be a form of catharsis to some.
The team positioned the drinks as a source of stress relief and management — so when you’re stressed: get yourself a CoCo drink, strike your straw through the lid, and relieve yourself of stress.
Going through a slew of minor inconveniences, the character ends up releasing her stress by striking a giant CoCo cup each time — highlighting the relief of taking that first stab at a boba milk tea lid.
The film garnered almost 18M views across Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter, and around 800K engagements among netizens 2 weeks after its release.
