Following the success and positive feedback from last year’s “Exploring the ASEAN Advantage 2023” in Shanghai, China, this year’s seminar, “Exploring the ASEAN Advantage 2024,” took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the CP Club’s main conference room on the 36th floor of the CP Center in the heart of Beijing’s business district.
The seminar received strong support from several key sectors in China, including the Commercial Counselor at the Thai Embassy in Beijing, the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, CP Group, iQIYI International, the China Advertisers Association, the Shanghai International Advertising Festival, and Yell Beijing.
The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Nalintib Homvisetvongsa, the Minister (Commercial) at Royal Thai Embassy Beijing, who inaugurated the seminar and provided insights into Thailand’s trade growth, positioning the country as a gateway to the ASEAN market. Dr. Phaichit Viboontanasarn, Vice Chairman & Secretary General of Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, shared perspectives on the modern Thai consumer’s view of Chinese brands, leveraging his expertise in the China-Thailand market.
Additionally, the seminar featured intriguing discussions on business operations between China and Thailand, focusing on modern branding perspectives. Distinguished speakers included Mr. Michael Ross, Group Senior Vice-Chairman, Charoen Pokphand Group and Co-Chairman, CP Commercial Real Estate; Mr. Frankie Fu, Vice President of the International and Business Department Brand Partnerships, iQIYI International; and Mr. Xu Lingyu, Vice President of China Advertisers Association
The objective of this year’s event was to build on the previous year’s goal of providing knowledge, experience, and understanding of the China-Thailand and ASEAN markets to leading business organizations and interested investors. The seminar aimed to expand future business collaborations by linking partnerships between the two major economic regions, with Beijing and Bangkok serving as gateways to ASEAN.
“The goal of this seminar is to expand into the ASEAN market, with Thailand serving as the gateway to the region. The launch of Yell Beijing is intended to assist in China-Thailand market operations, underscoring our commitment to continuous business development and expansion. We believe that our knowledge and experience will create new opportunities for Thai and Chinese entrepreneurs to collaborate and connect within ASEAN,” said Dissara Udomdej, CEO and Founder of Yell Advertising.
“Yell, as a co-organizer and content creator for this event, will use the feedback and success from the seminar to foster further trade collaborations. We look forward to seeing you again at the annual “Exploring the ASEAN Advantage 2025.”
