Top Thai director Wuthisak Anarnkaporn shoots latest Apple “Relax, it’s iPhone” film
From daily horoscopes to dramatic soap operas, Thailand is famously in love with falling in love. Apple’s latest film for the “Relax, it’s iPhone” campaign cleverly plays on a common Thai expression, which once translated means to “fall into a hole of love”, depicting two singles connecting in a serendipitous moment using the NameDrop feature on iPhone.
Directed by Wuthisak Anarnkaporn, a five-time International Grand Prix-winning advertising filmmaker, “Fallen Deep” tells the story of a man who dramatically falls into a literal deep hole of love in the middle of an airport after spotting the girl of his dreams. Just before he falls too deep, she reaches out to exchange contact information using NameDrop on the iPhone 15.
Many Thais are shy and not very direct when it comes to dating, often hesitating to approach others and missing the chance to connect. NameDrop on iPhone helps to make those in-person connections easier by quickly sharing contact information when you hold your phone near another iPhone or Apple Watch.
The campaign will be on broadcast TV and will also appear on online TV, social media, and digital platforms.
