The 2024 Mad Stars Awards sees 2 Grand Prix of the Year, 14 Grand Prix and 32 Gold Stars awarded

A total of 2 overall Grand Prix of the Year, 14 Grand Prix and 32 Gold Stars were awarded at last Friday night’s MadStars Award show held in Busan, South Korea. Dentsu enjoyed great success with Dentsu Inc Tokyo being named Agency of the Year and Dentsu named both Network of the Year and Holding Company of the Year.

 

The two overall Grand Prix of the Year were awarded to Dentsu Inc., Japan for ‘My Japan Railway’ for JR Group in Product & Service and Impact BBDO Dubai’s ‘Child Wedding Cards’ for UN Women in Public Service Advertising (see separate story here).

There were also 14 Grand Prix awards across the various categories at MadStars 2024.

Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur won two Grand Prix for Heineken’s ‘Heidden in Plain Sight’ in Outdoor and Media Stars.

In the Film stars category two Grand Prix awards were handed out. They went to The Leo Burnett Group Thailand for ‘What The Fast!’ for Krungsri First Choice. and to Dentsu Inc Tokyo for ‘Fries Beat 2024’ for McDonald’s Japan.



Dentsu Inc Tokyo’s ‘My Japan Railway’ for JR Group also took out the Grand Prix in the Direct, Integrated and Brand Experience & Activation Stars categories.


Dentsu Inc Tokyo’s ‘Project Humanity’ for NTT won the Grand Prix in Interactive Stars bringing their tally to 5 Grand Prix at MadStars this year.


McCann Worldgroup India’s ‘Fit My Feet’ campaign for Buckaroo won three Grand Prix, winning in the Diverse Insights, Innovation and Brand Experience & Activation Stars categories.


Impact BBDO Dubai’s ‘The AI President’ for Annahar Newspaper won the Grand Prix in the Print Stars category.


TBWA\Media Arts Labs Tokyo’s ‘Shot on iPhone | Midnight’ for Apple won the Entertainment Video Stars Grand Prix.


Publicis Dublin and Le Pub’s Heineken ‘Pub Museums’ took out the Grand Prix in the PR Stars category.
