MAX/HBO launches in Asia with new campaign via VML Indonesia, produced by Filmgraphics Entertainment and director Matt Murphy
Max/HBO has officially made its grand debut in Asia with a visually stunning campaign created by VML Indonesia and produced by Filmgraphics Entertainment and director Matt Murphy.
The campaign immerses audiences in the heart of beloved Max/HBO content, transporting viewers directly into the worlds of Dune, House of the Dragon, Harry Potter, and Friends.
At the core of the campaign is the universal feeling that a truly exceptional film or TV show pulls us into its universe. Through innovative storytelling, the campaign seamlessly blends iconic scenes from these fan-favoruite properties with the experiences of real-life characters, creating an unforgettable journey into cinematic and television magic.
To ensure the campaign’s success, Murphy meticulously developed the concept through a previz in order to work out how the actors would interact within the existing footage supplied.
Production took place in Bangkok, facilitated by Indochina Productions, over an intensive three-day shoot that included both location filming and set construction. Cutting Edge Brisbane handled the post-production.
Says Anna Fawcett, executive producer, Filmgraphics Entertainment: “It was a tough job but having someone of Matt Murphy’s calibre directing definitely helped the process and legal considerations. And we were lucky to have a great agency and client, and the support of Indochina and Cutting Edge.”
With its bold storytelling and cinematic visuals, the campaign sets a high bar for Max/HBO’s presence in Asia, highlighting the platform’s diverse and captivating content.
