Directors Think Tank SG reflect on their top highlights for 2024
The Singapore office of Directors Think Tank enjoyed an exceptional year in 2024. Here’s three of their top milestones and collaborations that made 2024 truly special for the production company.
Toyota Asia: Our People. Our Strength.
Toyota Motor Asia partnered with Dentsu Creative Singapore, and director Nicholas Lam and production partners Directors Think Tank SG, to unveil the latest phase of their global corporate initiative, “Start Your Impossible,” celebrating the journey of 11 exceptional Global Team Toyota Athletes (GTTA) from Asia.
The planning and filming of this campaign brought together an international crew, co-ordinating 11 Olympians and Paralympians across multiple countries for a 12-day shoot that spanned two months of planning and several more in post-production. Usually on a production of such magnitude, it can lead to crossed wires. But it was all smooth sailing and teamwork as DTT Singapore teamed up with DTT Malaysia and Benetone Thailand.
Prudential Singapore: Always there to Assist. Always there to Serve.
For this project Directors Think Tank SG partnered with ALT WORLDWIDE and Prudential Singapore, with top film director, Sling Ng, working closely alongside them.
This project was both fun and challenging, as the execution required the director to think backwards – telling the story in reverse to create a captivating narrative that unfolds in an unexpected way. To ensure authenticity, DTT SG also brought in a hearing impaired sign language tutor on set, making sure the story was genuine and believable.
7-Eleven: Wherever you go, 7-Eleven is Always Here, Always Near.
For this campaign DTT Singapore collaborated with TAG SG and 7-Eleven on this project. To make the video fun and exciting, DTT director Zaim Rosli lead the creative vision.
CGI scenes were seamlessly woven into the narrative to capture attention in the film. This involved intricate 3D builds, where every detail was carefully crafted to ensure a truly immersive experience. DTT SG worked closely with the agency to refine the designs and ensure that the 3D elements blended seamlessly with live-action shots, making them look as real and natural as possible. Post house, Tank 3 Asia’s expertise was crucial in bringing the vision to life and adding that extra layer of excitement and value.
