Change is more than just a new name. It is a transformation, a promise and a bold step into the future. With the unveiling of SMBC Indonesia, formerly known as BTPN, the brand embarks on a new chapter redefining what it means to be a modern financial institution. To mark this transition, Ogilvy Indonesia and Seven Sunday Films collaborated with the brand on a new commercial that captures the essence of progress, innovation and inclusivity. More than an announcement, this film is a statement of intent, showcasing SMBC Indonesia’s mission is to support all Indonesians, from entrepreneurs and businesses to everyday individuals striving for a brighter future.

Directed by RLV, the film whisks symbolic imagery to illustrate the evolution of SMBC Indonesia.

“This project was about more than just a rebrand. It was about evolution, about carrying forward the trust and legacy of BTPN while introducing a new era of possibility,” says Seven Sunday director RLV.

RLV said his approach aims to ensure that the message resonates deeply.

“Every shot was crafted to symbolise progress, resilience and the limitless potential its customers posses,” he said.

Afeeq Nadzrin, Executive Producer, reflects on the production process: “The transition from BTPN to SMBC Indonesia is a defining moment. Our goal was to blend storytelling with innovation, delivering a piece that not only informs but inspires.”

The film’s cinematographer is Sveta Aparina and grading by Matthieu Toullett of Company 3.
