Social good agency Lennon Group opens in Manila

Celebrated creative leader, Raymund Sison sets up a social good agency called Lennon Group, along with co-founders Rizza Garcia, Alan Fontanilla, and Miguel Co. The fab four founders are boldly and bravely disrupting the creative industry with creativity that cares, conscious of the changing world we live in.

Headquartered in Manila, Lennon Group is a social good agency that imagines a better world using creativity as a force for good. It’s composed of marketing savvy creative communicators, purpose doers, and impact makers, who believe in the power of creativity to move people, businesses, and communities.

“It’s a dream come true,” says Founder & Creative Chief Raymund Sison. “We wanted a creative company that is conscious of what’s happening in the real world and cares about how to make it better. All these years, we’ve always tried to find ways for creativity to help inspire and uplift humanity, for ideas that make a real difference in the world. Now we have an opportunity to make it happen every day.”

“Our name was inspired by our creative idol, John Lennon, who changed the world through creativity,” says Co-Founder & Executive Creative Director Rizza Garcia. Set to the tune of Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun, their Instagram grid references the visuals of A Hard Day’s Night album cover and posted on the same day that’s celebrated as International Beatles Day and the day Cavern Club opened in Liverpool in 1957.

“We aim to create initiatives and projects that respect humanity, use creativity to inspire and uplift, and maximize the power of technology in the service of humans,” says Co-Founder, CFO and CTO Miguel Co. “As a social good agency, we are aligning our mission with the UN SDGs, all the way to our local and national development goals, and always, always using creativity to uplift humanity,” adds Alan Fontanilla, Co-Founder and COO. “So we cater to brands and businesses, NGOs and Non-Profits, associations and government organizations — from healthcare to financial literacy to sustainability to wellness and wellbeing to education to food and nutrition to women and gender and rights for all to art and culture, all the way to nation-building and responsible citizenship.”

Lennon Group believes in the dignity of talent and reframes how it engages with talent. With a unique staffing model that picks the very best so it can deliver the very best for every kind of job, Lennon Group brings fresh creative and strategic thinking alongside advanced capabilities in tech and innovation to produce ideas that meet at the intersection of humanity, creativity, and technology, and create little ripples of impact in the community.

“We understand that the best of talents don’t want to be tied down to one thing,” says Co-Founder and ECD Rizza Garcia. “So we accept and maximize whatever and however way the talent wants to contribute. It’s a new way of contracting that focuses on commitment to talent and their impact, rather than their commitment to time and time-ins. It’s a new way of working that puts the very best for the studio and the talent. We think it’s a win-win.”

This move from Lennon Group is a fresh bold new direction that takes our changing world into consideration. It’s a way forward towards contributing to real solutions that the people and the planet need.

“Doing good for the world does good for all of us, and does good for brands and businesses,” says Raymund Sison. “I think it’s time for brands and organizations to advocate for social good, become makers of meaning, and creators of social impact. The world needs it.”
