GIGIL goes back to back at #1 in Campaign Brief Asia’s Creative Rankings for The Philippines: Leo Burnett Manila ranks #2 with TBWA\SMP at #3

GIGIL Philippines has claimed top spot for the second straight year in Campaign Brief Asia’s Creative Rankings Agency table for The Philippines. Leo Burnett Manila has enjoyed a great two years at award shows and holds their #2 spot and has closed the gap to only 60 ranking points behind GIGIL.
GIGIL’s 1410 creative ranking points is made up of good award wins at ADFEST 24 + 23, MAD Stars 24 + 23, THE WORK 24 + 23, Cannes 24, LIA 24 and AWARD 23.
In #2, Leo Burnett Manila’s strong performance came largely off the back of their highly successful “Unbranded Menu” for McDonald’s. They won at ADFEST 24 + 23, MAD Stars 24 + 23, THE WORK 24 + 23, One Asia 24, LIA 23, New York Festivals 23, Clio 23 and Spikes 23.
TBWA\SMP Manila were consistent across both award years to rank #3. They picked up points at ADFEST 24 + 23, AWARD 24 + 23, THE WORK 24 + 23, LIA 24 and MAD Stars 23.
BBDO Guerrero Philippines ranks #4 this year. The agency’s ‘Play The Dew: Dew Battle’ campaign for Mountain Dew Philippines was a big part of their success. They won awards at LIA, Cannes, D&AD, One Asia and THE WORK in 2024. In 2023, they won at ADFEST, Clio and THE WORK.
All of MullenLowe TREYNA Manila’s award success has come from the 2024 award shows, making them someone to watch in the Philippines next year. They picked up points at ADFEST, MAD Stars, Spikes, AWARD, New York Festivals, Clio and THE WORK. The agency has jumped into the top 5 from their previous two ranking positions of 13th.

In the individual creative rankings of creatives, Raoul Panes, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe Philippines and Leo Burnett Manila, has retained his position on top of the Philippines table.
Leo Burnett creatives also fill the next 7 positions: with Carl Urgino in #2, Chary Chu, Paolo Roa and Stephanie Tan in equal #3, Brian Lumanog in #6, Sofia Tawasil in #7 and Chili Ramon at #8
Rey Tiempo, who launched his new agency – Minotaur – late last year, has ranked equal #8.
